WEATHER CLAIMS BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAW SPRINT SEASON FINALE!

Balog Nets Sixth Consecutive IRA Title, Schultz Nabs Rookie of the Year Honors!

Beaver Dam, WI, September 28, 2013 – For only the third time during the 2013 racing season, the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints were forced to cancel a racing program due to weather. Rain which began to fall at the start of qualifying left series officials no option than to call off the program.

The Checkered Flag Classic event at the Dodge County Fairgrounds was to have been the final race of the season for both the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints and the MSA 360 sprints which were also in attendance this evening.

It was decided no rain date for this event would be utilized and the season is considered complete.

With the season now officially in the books Bill Balog is credited with earning his sixth consecutive series title on the strength of 17 wins. Balog comfortably won the title over Jeremy Schultz, who, in his first season with the IRA sprints has demonstrated his talent by capturing two victories in his rookie season. With two wins and a runner-up point finish Schultz’s maiden voyage into the 410 sprint car arena, ranks among the best performance by a rookie in 410 sprint action in the entire nation.
