Jordan Goldesberry

Goldesberry Rallies at Cedar Lake, 141 Speedway Up Next

A “weekend to forget” seems to be the terminology being used to describe Jordan Goldesberry’s northern weekend with the IRA Sprints.

“It’s just a shame. We had a ton of speed both nights, especially at Superior.” Goldesberry admitted.

After going third quick overall at Gondik Law Speedway, Goldesberry was sitting comfortably in a dash lock-in spot during his heat race when the Rockstar Energy Drink #65 found itself in the turn 1 wall after entering the corner in the dirty air of another car.

“I followed [Scotty] Neitzel into turn 1 on the top and it just took all the downforce off the front of the car and it went straight.” Goldesberry said of the incident. “Big mistake for sure. Then the feature we just got taken out in lap 1 traffic.”

Contact with another car on the opening lap of the Northern Nationals A Main sent the #65 flipping, adding insult to injury.

The team regrouped overnight and headed to Cedar Lake Speedway for the highest paying Jerry Richert Memorial Race ever. Goldesberry timed in 10th overall, ran 3rd in his heat race and went 13th to 11th in the A Main. However, that doesn’t tell the whole story.

“Had a Top 10 car for sure at Cedar Lake, but contact knocked a shock off the car during the feature and sent us to the work area.” Goldesberry stated. “After starting at the tail we got back to 11th at the finish, which was a solid bounce back for us especially after the night we had in Superior. Looking forward to 141 this weekend as we’ve had a lot of success there in recent years.”

The IRA tour returns this weekend at the high-banked bullring of 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, WI for the finale of the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown. Goldesberry has won the two most recent IRA events at the track, and hasn’t finished off of the podium at 141 since 2021.

Tickets for this weekend’s race will be available at the facility on race day, and will be broadcast live on FloRacing for those unable to make it to the track.
