Pokorski posts memorable 2025 season
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) November 24, 2025 – If the 2025 season were to be described in two words for the Alex Pokorski-Akright Auto Racing Team, they would likely be learning and fun.
For one of the only times in the history of the Pokorski Motorsports racing effort, a full-time points run with a particular series or track was not the team’s focus for the 2025 campaign.
Pokorski split time behind 410 and 360 Sprint Car action, entering all but two events with Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association (IRA) 410 Sprint Car Series, while mixing in six Akright Auto Plymouth Dirt Track Racing (PDTR) 360 Sprint Car contests.
Pokorski’s first dedicated season of 410 Sprint Car competition produced a mixed bag of results as he strived to adapt to the distinct nuances of the high-horsepower, low-weight machines.
The highlight of the team’s 410 season came during the 25th annual IRA Jerry Richert Memorial weekend at Cedar Lake Speedway, when Pokorski steered his red No. 4 machine to a stellar 410 career-best runner-up finish on September 6.
Pokorski’s 360 Sprint Car campaign proved highly successful, led by a thrilling PDTR A-main victory at The Plymouth Dirt Track on July 12, which featured a daring last-lap pass.
In 22 IRA 410 events, Pokorski posted one podium showing, one top-five, one top-10, five top-15, and eight top-20 A-main finishes. He also tallied one B main, heat race, and dash appearance on the way to a 16th-place finish in the final 2025 IRA point standings.
Paul Pokorski filled in for Alex once in 2025, recording a 19th-place A-main finish in IRA action at The Plymouth Dirt Track on June 21.
In his sixth season of 360 Sprint Car action, Pokorski tallied one A-main victory, four podium, four top-five, five top-10, six top-15 showings and two fast qualifier awards in six PDTR 360 Sprint Car events to place 22nd in the final point standings.
“The highlights of the 2025 season are our 360 win at Plymouth and our second-place finish with the IRA at Cedar Lake,” Pokorski said. “Going to the Jackson Nationals was also fun.”
“We expanded our notebook while going to numerous new tracks during the IRA season,” he said. “We expect 2026 to be similar schedule-wise.”
