Illinois/Wisconsin Double Header Weekend for IRA

This weekend the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association has two big shows on tap. Saturday at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway, and Sunday at Angell Park Speedway.

Saturday July 15th the IRA makes their first visit to Fairbury American Legion Speedway(FALS) in over a decade. The Neil Tire Midwest Open Wheel Association will join the IRA at the 1/4th mile Illinois oval, in what is sure to be a great night of racing. Boston Reid picked up the win on the IRA’s only previous event at FALS. With most of the IRA team's never having ran the semi banked Illinois oval, the winner will likely be the team who can adapt to the new track the quickest.

Sunday the series travels back to Wisconsin for another trip to Angell Park Speedway. Bill Balog has won both previous IRA events at Angell Park Speedway in 2017 and will surely be the man to beat this Sunday. Scotty Thiel has been Balog's toughest competition all season and the month of July has been good to him, picking up two 410 sprint car wins already this month, look for him to challenge the Rhine Auto 17b on Sunday.

The IRA would like to thank our wonderful sponsors, Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts, Osborn and Son Trucking, TW Metals, Carriage Auto Body, Cummins Onan, Hopf Farms, Hagar’s Half Pound Cookies and Hoosier Tire.
