Logan Julien to Chase Rookie of the Year Award with IRA Sprints in 2024
The 2023 MSA 360 Sprints Rookie of the Year will once again chase that same title in 2024, but this time with the fiercely competitive Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series over a 30+ race schedule.
“Driving a 410 with a tour like the IRA is a dream come true for me and the team.” Julien said in a statement. “I can’t thank my dad, brother, and everyone that supports this deal enough for making this all possible. This is a true family operation so for us to be able to do this is awesome.”
The 15 year old filled the stat sheet in his first season in a sprint car in 2023, racking up 2 Podiums, 7 Top 5’s and 16 Top 10’s in just 23 starts.
“We had a great season last year.” The Oconomowoc, WI native said. “The MSA was great to us and it was a really good series to run with and get comfortable in a sprint car. The 410 deal is going to be a huge learning curve but we’re going into 2024 a lot better prepared than we did going into 2023, so I’m hopeful we can get up to speed quickly, make A Mains and continue to learn and get better as the year goes on.”
The 2024 IRA season is set to kick off at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA on April 5th and 6th. One of many new tracks the Julien Motorsports team will have to tackle this season.
“Visiting new places and learning new tracks is going to be tough, but it’ll also be a lot of fun.” Julien stated. “That was a big reason for the move to the IRA for us. The different tracks the series visits and how they all race differently was the main factor. We’re ready for the challenge.”
