Brabant-Gerrits Racing Officially Enter 2024 IRA Rookie of the Year Battle
The Brabant-Gerrits Racing duo of Tyler Brabant and Will Gerrits enjoyed a “pick and choose” style schedule in 2023. Running a mix of MSA 360 and IRA 410 sprint car shows, the team gained valuable experience in both disciplines after many years following just the MSA Sprints schedule.
In 2024, the team will enter a new chapter as they embark on a full 410 winged sprint car schedule with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints and look to chase the Sage Fruit/Hepfner Racing Products Rookie of the Year award.
“I’m so excited to make this jump with Tyler in 2024.” 3x MSA Feature winner Will Gerrits stated. “ We’ve been there with each other every step of the way since go kart racing. The team had a lot of fun running primarily 410 races last year and the IRA is a great group that presents us all with a new challenge. We’ve always dreamed of going 410 racing together and we are looking forward to the season!”
The team experienced success across both 360 and 410 classes in 2023, with a double Top 5 finish in their first 360 race of the year at the Plymouth Dirt Track, multiple hard charger awards with the IRA 410’s and consistent improvement throughout the year from both drivers.
The 2024 IRA season is set to kick off at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA on April 5th and 6th. The series drew an astonishing 48 cars both nights in 2023, and more high car counts and fantastic competition seem to be in store for the series this coming year.
The entire 2024 IRA Sprints season will be broadcast LIVE on FloRacing.
