With break in IRA action, Hartmann to hit Outlaws tripleheader
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) July 3, 2024 – After bringing the first half of their 2024 season to a close with a Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car event at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis. on Saturday, June 28, Austin Hartmann and the members of the 87A Hartmann Racing team are looking forward to meeting up with the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series before taking on the remainder of the IRA schedule during the month of July.
Hartmann opened IRA competition at Beaver Dam Raceway by qualifying 20th in the 30-car field with a lap of 14.759 seconds.
The Plymouth, Wis. driver then gained one position in advancing from seventh to sixth in the second eight-lap heat race to secure a transfer spot to the 30-lap IRA main event.
After rolling off 18th in the 30-lap IRA main event, Hartmann came home with a 19th place showing in a race won by Max Guilford.
With 14 races remaining in the 2024 IRA season, Hartmann sits seventh in the IRA standings on the strength of four top-10 A-main showings in 13 IRA events.
The 87A Hartmann Racing team is set to take the upcoming July 4th holiday weekend off, before entering three NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Series events over four days.
On Wednesday, July 10, Hartmann will compete in a makeup date for the rained-out June 1 Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial World of Outlaws event at Beaver Dam Raceway.
Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps and qualifying at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Hartmann will then head to Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. for the Federated Auto Parts Larry Hillerud Memorial Badger 40 on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13.
Grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m., qualifying at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. on both nights.
