A diverse 29-car field gathered on a hot and humid day in the Hoosier State at Bloomington Speedway. The Auckland, NZ native Max Guilford kicked off the night by going quickest in Box3 Media Hot Laps, putting down an 11.521-second lap. Shortly after, Joel Myers Jr. picked up the Hi Plains Division Quick Time Award in Carbon Safety Technologies Qualifying with a 10.075-second lap.

With 29 cars, the night called for three heat races. Scotty Neitzel went green to checkered, picking up the win in Fox Lake Harbor presents Allstar Performance Heat Race #1. Zackary Sokol, the other Auckland, NZ native, did the same as Neitzel won Bodycraft of Antioch presents Engler Machine and Tool Heat Race #2. BR Motorsports presents King Racing Products Heat Race #3, completed heat race action, where Cruz Dickerson advanced one position to take the win.

The Horizon Whiskey Dash Redraw was next. Both poles were claimed by non-IRA regulars, Geoff Dodge and Bryce Norris. Norris claimed the pole of Optimum Electric Dash #2 early on in the redraw, while Dodge found the pole of Kristine Hartmann-Pleasant View Realty at the end of the redraw. Dodge went wire to wire in Dash #1 to pick up the win. Norris fell back to fourth, leading Guilford to move up a position to secure the second starting position.

Nine cars started the 11-car Behling Racing B-Main, all racing for a top-six position to make the show. At the start, the 45 of Tim Haddy and Scott Conger in the 24 made contact, but both continued without bringing out the Honest Abe Roofing Caution Flag. The second position starter, Danny Schlafer, took the early lead and won the Behling Racing B-Main. Logan Weinke earned the A-Main Apparel and Diecast B-Main Award.

The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints only night in Indiana was wrapped up with a 30-lap feature. Once the green flew, Guilford got the early lead, and Myers Jr. followed behind. The 16C soon met lap traffic, but not so far in the Honest Abe Caution Flag flew for Logan Julien in the 85J. Julien went to the Honest Abe Roofing Work Area with a flat right rear tire, and while making repairs, Corbin Gurley had pulled off the track. Both cars rejoined the field, and the Gibbsville Cheese Restart Cone came out. Not so far after the restart, Dickerson brought out the Honest Abe Caution Flag, then rejoined the field.

The green flag flew once again, with Guilford still in the lead and set to reenter lap traffic. Tylar Rankin in the 97 went over the banking and pulled off to retire for the night. With 10 laps to go, the Honest Abe Roofing Caution Flag came out again after Gurley came to a stop in turn four, resulting in the end of his night. On the Gibbsville Cheese Restart, Neitzel made the pass on Dodge to move up to third. Soon after the pass, Dodge pulled off the track in turn one, which brought out the Honest Abe Roofing Caution Flag for the fourth time during the 30-lap feature. Dodge retired for the night, and Sterling Cling did as well.

Guilford continued to lead on the restart, Myers Jr. and Neitzel followed behind. Darin Naida advanced to fourth, but then brought out the final Honest Abe Roofing Caution flag after stopping on turn four. Naida was towed off the track and forced to pull in for the night. The Gibbsville Cheese Restart Cone came out last time with five laps to go. After running multiple laps with a flat tire, Myers Jr.’s second-place run came to an end due to a blown tire. Guilford kept his lead on the restart and was consistent to the checkered flag. After taking the checkered, Max Guilford scored his first win for Greg Wheeler Motorsports.

The Bumper to Bumper will be back in action tonight (6/28) in Michigan at Butler Motor Speedway after a 20-year hiatus. Then, the series will take a quick three-week break before heading to Mississippi Thunder Speedway on Friday, July 25th. Watch live on Flo Racing!
