The fall breeze would blow through the Wilmot Raceway for night one of the weekend, and night one of Wilmot Raceway’s Fall Fest. 28 Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprints checked in. Point leader Blake Nimee would go fastest in Box3 Media Hot Laps and Logan Julien would bring home the Hi-Planes Building Division Quicktime Award in Carbon Safety Technologies Qualifying.

Fox Lake Harbor Presents Allstar Performance Heat One was won by Danny Schlafer, BodyCraft of Antioch presents Behling Racing Heat Two was won by Jordan Goldesberry, and the third and final heat race presented by Game Day Men’s Health and Engler Machine and Tool would go to Jake Blackhurst.

The Horizon Whiskey Dash Draw would sit Blake Nimee and Kris Spitz on the poles of the dashes. Optimum Electric dash one belonged to Blake Nimee, and Kristine Hartmann Dash Two went to Logan Julien. The Behling Racing Equipment B-Main was awarded to Kyle Schuett and the A-Main Apparel and Diecast B-Main Award went to Logan Wienke.

The current IRA Sprints points leader would lead the field to the green. Logan Julien outside of him in the 85J with an outstanding month behind the wheel amassing 2 wins this season so far. Nimee would lead the way, without a trying effort from the 85J. Nimee would resume the lead with pressure from Scotty Neitzel and Logan Julien. Nimee would race in the lead until the seventh lap, where Logan Julien would overtake him. Julien would quickly see lap traffic in the 85J. With Nimee, Neitzel, and Schlafer in pursuit, he’d have to make quick work of traffic.

Greg Wheeler Motorsports would pass the 25T of Arenz and the 25 of Schlafer, knocking on a podium position. We’d throw the Honest Abe Caution Flag for Tylar Rankin. Logan Julien, Blake Nimee, Scotty Neitzel, Max Guilford, and Danny Schlafer would lead the field to green. Logan Julien would get a great jump on the restart and keep the lead over the fierce competition. With laps ticking away, Nimee would close in on the 85J. With 19 in, Nimee would regain the lead from Julien down the frontstretch. Julien would get loose and drop to third, also allowing the 2W of Neitzel under him.

Five laps would pass, and Julien would be back passing the 2w and fighting for the lead again with Nimee. With two laps remaining, Julien would slide back into the lead causing Nimee to scramble and Neitzel would pass. In turns three and four, Nimee and Guilford would tangle and draw out an Honest Abe Roofing Caution flag.

With just a few laps remaining, Julien would hang onto the win making it his third this season. Scotty Neitzel second, and Jordan Goldesberry would round out the podium.

The series is back in action tonight at the 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wisconsin. Watch the event live on FloRacing.
