Pokorski looks west to Jackson Nationals
(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) September 16, 2025 – After completing an unremarkable weekend with Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series at 141 Speedway and Wilmot Raceway, the Alex Pokorski-Akright Auto Racing Team plans to head west to Minnesota for the prestigious two-night Jackson Nationals.
Last weekend’s IRA doubleheader saw Pokorski qualify 16th in the 29-car field at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis., on Friday, Sept. 12, and 15th among 25 entries at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek, Wis., on Saturday, Sept. 13.
Due to mechanical issues, he did not complete a race on either night.
“We had electrical issues which held us back,” Pokorski said. “Our plan for this weekend is to go to Jackson and race both nights.”
Pokorski and the members of the Akright Auto Racing Team are set to enter the 47th annual Jackson Nationals at the four-tenths-mile semi-banked Jackson Motorplex dirt oval in Jackson, Minn., on Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20.
The 410 Sprint Car portion of the event is co-sanctioned by the Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association, Northern Outlaw Sprint Association, and Midwest Sprint Touring Series. RaceSaver 305 Sprint Cars are also on the card both nights.
Racing program on Friday, Sept. 19 features the Tweeter Memorial presented by Joel Pingeon Trucking for $5,000 to win and $500 to start.
The Bank Midwest Jackson Nationals presented by Wyffels Hybrids will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, for $12,000 to win and $1,200 to start.
Spectator gates open at 4 p.m. with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
