Wilmot Raceway attracted a talented group of 37 drivers on a sunny yet breezy day for Founders Night. Joel Myers Jr. made his 2025 comeback as the Santa Rosa, CA native, who earned the night's Box3 Media Hot Laps Quicktime award and the Hi-Plains Building Division Quicktime award after laying down a 12.364-second lap in Carbon Safety Technologies Qualifying.

Heat race action would take place next, with the 2024 Wilmot Points Champion Blake Nimee, who started on the pole, winning Allstar Performance Heat Race #1 presented by Fox Lake Harbor. BodyCraft of Antioch presents Engler Machine & Tool Heat #2 was won by Travis Arenz from the front row. Lone Wolf, Danny Schlalfer won Game Day Men’s Health presents Behling Racing Heat #3 BR and last year’s Founders Night winner Scotty Neitzel would bring home BR Motorsports presents King Racing Products Heat #4.

The Horizon Whiskey Dash Draw eliminated the poles immediately as Joel Myers Jr and Jake Blackhurst would grab the poles and win their dashes presented by Optimum Electric and Kristine Hartmann Pleasant View Realty. The Behling Racing Equipment B Main was awarded to Logan Julien in the 85J, and the A-Main Apparel B-Main Award was presented to Chris Klemko.

Looking to make the score even against the traffic tires, Myers Jr would take the green flag for thirty laps around Wilmot Raceway. Majority of the top cars would take to the tires and follow suit. Goldesberry would be the only driver to take to the cushion. The battle for second would continue as a crowd favorite of Scotty Neitzel would pass for second. Schlafer would fall back momentarily as the XKGlow 7A would pounce in turns three and four.

Myers would tick away laps, trying to keep the 2w and the rest of the field behind him as lap traffic began to become a factor. With 11 laps in, we’d draw out the red for the 43 of Jereme Schroeder and Matt Vandervere on the front stretch. Vanderevere would leap from his car and check on the pilot of the 43. Both drivers were able to walk away from the scene.

The Gibbsville Cheese restart cone would appear, and Myers would have 19 laps between him and a Wilmot Raceway win. The gap of more than three seconds would close, as the 2W and 7A would be right on his push bumper.

Schlafer on the restart would challenge the field and jump to the cushion and take fourth back, Goldesberry would follow suit and grab 6th place. The flagstand would throw the halfway home signal for the Hayward Motorsports 19. Neitzel would continue to reel in the 19, as race fans would cheer on the previous Founders Night winner. Will Armitage would also challenge the 2W for second, as the laps would count down. We would throw one final Honest Abe Caution flag for a wild tractor tire in turn four. With five laps remaining, it was anyone’s race to win, but Myers had led every lap.
Myers would restart the field once more with Neitzel, Armitage, Blackhurst, and Goldesberry behind him. Guilford from the 18th starting spot would be up 11 spots and challenge Goldesberry for 6th. Myers Jr would see the white and then the checkered for Founders Night. Neitzel second, and Will Armitage would round out the podium.

The Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Cars are back in action tonight at 141 Speedway for Round Three of the Hopf Farms Bullring Showdown.
